Located 3 hours away from Marrakesh, it will allow travelers to take a breath of fresh air from the bustle of busy cities such Marrakesh. In the Medina you will experience a different shopping experience and it is even part of the UNESCO heritage.
The Pearl of The Atlantic”, “The wind city“, better known as Essaouira is a town with many names. Since the 16th century the city has been named Mogador by the Portuguese and was known under this name during the French protectorate between 1912 – 1956. With the independence of Morocco, the town took the official name of Essaouira.

Tour Plan

Day 1

The start will be around 8h00 from Marrakesh. A minibus will be waiting for you with a good driver that will take care of you till Essaouira. On the way you gonna have a stop to watch the goats standing on the argan tree. If you are interested by how Moroccan women work and make the argan oil, you will have the chance to have sometime for that in one of the villages between Essaouira and Marrakesh. Once you arrive Essaouira you will be in the middle of the Medina, the port and the beach. Five hours are really enough to enjoy every corner of the city. Essaouira is a small town but really rich of Moroccan diversity.
