Introduction
Welcome to Imlil "The Berber Village":
The region of the Imlil valley is located in the High Atlas of Morocco, at 1800m above sea level, under the majestic presence of Jbel Toubkal, the second highest mountain in all of Africa, with 4167m. It has a strong presence of Amazigh cultural roots. The Amazigh culture is cultural expressions are shared by several indigenous ethnic groups in North Africa.
Its origins are as old as they are uncertain. They were Bedouins groups organized by lineages and families, who migrated to obtain food and maintain their herds. A few groups settled in areas with a more favorable environment and climate and established themselves permanently as farmers, which made it possible to found small villages in the mountains and valleys.
Being Berber or Amazigh is cultural specificities visible in terms of clothing habits, festivals, traditional music and an aesthetic specific to this culture.

Tour Plan
Day 1
The trip to Imlil from Marrakech starts around 9:00 with pick up from your hotel or Riad in Marrakech. It takes 1h30 to reach the park of Imlil. You will visit Imlil, located about 64 kilometers south of Marrakech and accessible by road through the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains.
Imlil is the end of the paved road, it is a good starting point for a trekking holiday or for the ascent of Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa (4167 meters). On Saturdays you can visit the Berber market in Asni, climb up to the Kasbah and explore the surrounding trails and enjoy great views along the Riraya Valley. At this point in the mountains, you will enter real Berber country, meet your guide and pass through the small High Atlas mountain village of Aremd. Riding a donkey is an option, if you get tired from walking.
Around 18:00 will be the time to get back to Marrakech after an amazing journey.
